Have you ever asked yourself the question “Why can we trust God?”

What inspired a man like Abraham to leave behind everything he had ever known to follow a God he couldn’t see and had never met? What inspired David to trust Him in the face of a giant? What prompted Peter and James and John to leave the security of their nets for persecution and an unknown future?

Why can we trust God?

Because He is the Promise Keeper. What He says is true. He always does what He says He will do.

Is God a liar? Why can we trust God? The answer is in Psalm 33:4

The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
the plans of his heart to all generations. (Psalm 33:11, ESV)

His plans are eternal. They are not whimsical or temporal like ours. He sees the end from the beginning.

Do we trust or do we take matters into our own hands? The Bible clearly tells us that God is trustworthy; His Word holds true and we can trust everything He does.

Why can we trust God? Because the Bible tells us He will do what He said He will do. Because He is God. It’s a leap of faith, but not a big one.

One needs only read the Bible to see His faithful spelled out over a thousand generations.
